When To Let Go Of Your Ex
Obviously not all relationships can be saved and there comes a time when you need to let go of your ex and move
on. Whether or not you need to move on from your ex depends on the circumstances that you broke up.
For example if you cheated on them you may find it more difficult to get them back as opposed to if you started
taking them for granted or stopped giving them respect.
Issues such as taking your ex can easily be solved if you can convince your ex that you've learned from your
mistakes and then can proof it with your actions.
The way that your ex speaks to you is a great indication of whether or not there is a chance of getting back
together with them. If they're being volatile and aggressive towards you then you maybe need to walk away.
If they're now with someone else and are adamant that they love their new partner and no longer want contact
with you then this is another sign that you need to move on.
If there is any chance of getting your ex back then they need to be giving at least a small indication that
they're still interested in you. It only needs to be a small indication as people can be scared to show how they
truly feel after a break up.
If however there's no indication that they want you back and every time you make contact with them they're angry
at you for bothering them you need to accept it and move on.
So Why Can It Be So Hard To Move On?
Generally when a relationship ends it's painful, especially for the person who was left. It's natural to want
the pain to go away and the quickest way for this to happen is to get back with their ex.
While there may be emotional scars, if people can get back with their ex they know that the grieving style pain
will go away.
Comparatively, if they don't get their ex back the pain could go on for months until they finally get over them
and the option of getting them back is a much more pleasing one.
People can also be scared of change to their lives and losing a partner can be a big change, especially if they
live together.
The thought of having to get over their ex and entering the dating field again is all too much for some people
so they do everything they can to hold on to their ex.
But if your ex is giving absolutely no signs that they want you back or if they're flat out telling you that
they no longer want you, you just have to accept it and move on.
If you don't accept it you're just prolonging the pain and it will take longer to move on from your ex.
